Tree Wardens
Tree Wardens are local volunteers who work with the Parish Council to help protect and enhance the trees and woodlands in our community. Appointed by the council, their role involves monitoring the condition of local trees, reporting any issues such as disease or damage, and supporting tree planting and conservation initiatives. They also help to raise awareness of the importance of trees for biodiversity, climate, and overall community wellbeing.
In Cradley and Storridge, we are fortunate to have two dedicated Tree Wardens: John Colins and Keith Atkinson. They play a vital part in helping the parish maintain and nurture its natural environment, and they work closely with residents, landowners, and local groups to encourage good practice in tree care and management. If you have any concerns about local trees or would like to know more about planting or protecting trees in the parish, please feel free to get in touch via the Parish Clerk.

Parish Footpaths Officer
The Parish Footpaths Officer plays an important role in helping to maintain and protect the network of public rights of way across the parish. Working alongside the Parish Council and local authorities, the officer monitors the condition of footpaths, reports obstructions or damage, and supports efforts to keep paths accessible and clearly marked for walkers and residents. The position is currently vacant, and we are actively seeking volunteers who are passionate about the countryside and keen to help preserve access to our beautiful local landscape. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact the Parish Clerk for more information.
